Germicidal UV-C light deactivates the DNA of bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens and thus destroys their ability to multiply and cause disease. Specifically, UV-C light causes damage to the nucleic acid of microorganisms by forming covalent bonds between certain adjacent bases in the DNA
- Spartan uses Ozone free quartz tubes. It is a clear quartz tube doped with Ti. Has a strong ability to prevent dense UV radiation but release no ozone. Ozone-free quartz tubing is clear, with a cut surface slightly blue/purple. The product blocks wavelength <220 nm, while transmitting over 90% in 253.7 nm. Good for all kinds of germicidal lamps.
- The UVC lamps - Spartan is using are compact UVC (germicidal) lamps used in professional air disinfection units.
- The compact size of the lamp allows for a compact system design and design flexibility with high wattage of lights which in turn reduce the Dose timing.
- Our UVC lamps offer almost constant UV output over their complete lifetime, for maximum security of disinfection and high system efficacy.
- Spartan uses a single-ended lamp base which makes lamp replacement very easy.
- Due to higher watts of UVC tube the disinfection time in any of Spartan products are far less compared to any product available in the market. The simple formula of UV disinfection is the higher the wattage the lesser time it will take for disinfection.
